The Happenstance is Atlanta’s “Rock Lottery”. 30 musicians arrive early in the morning to The Earl, bands are formed by drawing names out of a hat, songs are written, practiced, and performed the same night for a captivated audience of music lovers and fellow musicians.
In this episode, listen to learn how The Happenstance got started, how it works, who it benefits, and we’ll talk about some of our favorite moments through out the years.

This year’s Happenstance show takes place December 8, 2012 at The Earl in East Atlanta. It’s $8 unless you bring some canned goods for the Atlanta Community Food Bank and then you can get in for $5. The Happenstance also benefits Sweet Relief.
